Sydney industries I've built for

Health & wellness

Clinics, remedial practices, allied health — sites built around online bookings, with the trust signals that make a new patient comfortable before they walk in the door.

Medical & specialist

Plastic surgeons, specialist clinics, cosmetic practices across the Eastern Suburbs and CBD — premium editorial design that matches the standard of the practice.

Finance & lending

Mortgage brokers and financial advisers — plain-language sites that make complex offers feel approachable and drive discovery call bookings.

Construction & trades

A professional presence that generates project enquiries directly, instead of leaning entirely on referrals.

Professional services

Consultants, agents, advisers — conversion-focused sites that clearly communicate what you do and make it easy to take the next step.

Why hand-coded, not WordPress

Most Sydney web agencies build on WordPress or a drag-and-drop builder — it's faster for them, but it means your site carries every plugin, theme file, and unused feature their template ships with. That bloat slows load times and hurts Core Web Vitals, which Google uses as a ranking signal.

Every site I build is hand-coded from scratch. It ships exactly what it needs and nothing else — which is most of why it loads fast, ranks well, and doesn't need a developer every time you want to update a page.

I'm based in Sydney and know the market. A medical clinic in Double Bay has different trust requirements than a construction company in Penrith. I build to the brief, not to a template.

A developer, not a template shop

I'm a software engineer first, so the same engineering standards I would apply to a production codebase go into a small-business website.

That matters when the site needs to do something real: a booking form that pushes to your CRM, a custom quote flow, or a webhook to a tool you already use.

Sydney areas

I work with Sydney businesses across the metro area — no travel fees, and most of the process is remote anyway.

Common questions

Straight answers before you ask for a quote.

How much does web design cost in Sydney?

A Sydney agency will usually quote $8,000–$15,000+ for a small-business site once their overheads are factored in. I work solo, so mine come in at a fixed $3,000–$5,000 for a comparable build — fixed quote within 48 hours, no hourly rates.

Do you meet in person?

I'm based in Sydney and happy to meet in person when it makes sense. Most projects run entirely remotely with no issue — calls and shared docs cover 95% of what a project needs.

How long does a website take to build?

Most Sydney projects are live in 3–6 weeks. Once your copy and images are ready the build itself is 2–3 weeks — I'll give you a firm timeline in the quote.

Can you redesign an existing site?

Yes, and it's often the smartest option — you keep the content and client base you've built, and just get a site that finally does them justice. I'll audit what's there and rebuild from it.

WordPress or custom-built?

Custom-built. I don't use WordPress or page builders — everything is hand-coded, which means faster load times, better Google rankings, and nothing to maintain or break.
